The Church Foundation visits St. James' Episcopal Church, Collegeville
At the invitation of The Rev. Dr. Mike Sowards (Fr. Mike), rector of St. James’, Collegeville, Lori Daniels attended all services on December 9th and 10th to introduce The Church Foundation’s estate planning resources offered on our website at www.tcfdiopa.org.
Our downloadable End-of-Life Booklet helps organize all of these components in one location and makes it easier for loved ones to find all the necessary information in one straightforward booklet. Also available is a Planned Giving flyer which includes brief descriptions of the various types of planned gift programs available to help start the conversation. Completing the end-of-life booklet before meeting with an estate lawyer can potentially help streamline the estate planning process.
“At St. James’ we wanted to have a low-key stewardship campaign this year, and we were delighted to host Lori Daniels, Executive Director, and Lisa Reinhardt, Operations Manager, from The Church Foundation” said Fr. Mike. “They did a short presentation at all of our services to introduce end-of-life planning, estate planning, and planned giving as part of our stewardship campaign, and I am very thankful for that. Additionally, the church’s attorney, Rowan Keenan, told me that the end-of-life booklet was beneficial to him when producing wills and living wills for our parishioners.”
In addition to these services, The Church Foundation also facilitates gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.
If you are interested in learning more about these services or would like to schedule a visit for your church, please get in touch with Lisa Reinhardt, Operations Manager, at [email protected] or 215-621-8310. We would be happy to schedule a time to come out and discuss our planned giving resources and the benefits of remembering the church in your estate planning with your congregation.
